Bellaghy Bawn is a fortified plantation farmhouse that opened to the public in 1996, and lies in Bellaghy village close to Lough Beg in the southern part of County Derry.

The original bawn, a defended courtyard protecting an inner house, was built in the early 17th century by the Vintners' Company, but was destroyed in the 1641 rebellion. It was rebuilt two years later, with a new house added in the late 18th century. The stout, circular flanker tower still remains from the original building, and the house has been restored, with period furnishings and antiquities from the local area. Inside the house are displays and information about the plantation of Ulster, the history of the settlements in the area, and the ecology of the wetlands.

There is also a substantial exhibition about the famous poet Seamus Heaney, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, who was born and brought up in Bellaghy. In a film, Heaney discusses how the culture and history of the area influenced his work. Various artefacts are on display, including original manuscripts and books of the poet, and archives of broadcasts and films relating to Heaney's work are also accessible.
