Ossian's Grave Photo Ossian's Grave is a megalithic court tomb dating from the Stone Age. It lies on a hillside near Cushendall in County Antrim, and can be reached by a steep path from the main Ballymoney/Cushendall road.

The site is said to be the burial place of Ossian, the Celtic warrior poet, although it predates his time by at least 2000 years. Ossian was the legendary son of Finn MacCool (famed in mythology for creating the Giant's Causeway), and is attributed as being theOssian's Grave Photo author of the Ossianic cycle of poems. The poems were actually written by Scottish poet James Macpherson in the 18th century, although the myth of Ossian inspired the Romantic poets and writers of the day.

The two surviving kerbstones on the north side show how big the oval cairn would once have been. The site is located in Glenaan, one of the nine famous Glens of Antrim, and boasts wonderful views over the valley and coast, with Scotland visible in the distance on clear days. The stone cairn that stands nearby was erected in 1989 in memory of John Hewitt, who loved the area and was known as the poet of the Glens.
