The Ulster Museum is a vast museum that houses many impressive collections of wide ranging exhibits. It lies in Belfast, County Antrim, in the city's beautiful Botanic Gardens.

The museum is a treasure house of displays covering everything from dinosaurs and Ireland's prehistory, to biodiversity and modern art. A fascinating display is the collection of 16th century treasures - including clothes, coins and jewellery - recovered from the wrecks of three Spanish Armada ships that were found off the Antrim coast near the Giant's Causeway. Also of particular interest is the new Habitas project focusing on natural science and the rich diversity of the natural world, with computer access to in-depth information about Northern Ireland's botany, geology and zoology.

The airy top floors of the museum house the art galleries, and include the largest temporary exhibition space in Ireland. The collections feature temporary exhibitions of both national and international artwork, dating from the 17th century to the present day. Painting, sculpture, fashion, jewellery, furniture, and dolls and toys can all be found on display in the art galleries.
